Discipline without yelling,
communication without manipulation,
& grace without judgment

A Podcast for Families

Even though we title ourselves as a family podcast, we aim to work with any type of relationship. Whether your family is a spouse, youth children, grown children, a significant other, or a roommate, Bread over Stones will give you tools to help communicate with them in a way that maintains your own need while helping them assert theirs.

A Grace-Based Family Podcast

Bread Over Stones is based in grace – that means that we always see the best in the situation and believe that people are doing all they can with what they have. We understand that when we don’t have the tools to handle problems, that can be a problem in itself. So together, generally without judgment, we work at doing better.

A Inspiring Family Podcast

The desire for Bread over Stones is to inspire families – to realize that our collective knowledge is more than individual knowledge. Families create community, but they are also communities in themselves.  We work together in our journey – so stay tuned and ready to share as you grow as a family member.

Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?  -Matthew 7:9 (NASB)

Bread over Stones works to provide positive solutions to communication, discipline, and boundaries. We believe in the principle that most people want to give good things to their families.

Matthew E. Morgan

Matthew E. Morgan

Host, Therapist, Owner of Covenant Family Wellness, LLC

Matthew E. Morgan works as a therapist – dividing his time between treating adolescents at a local hospital and running his private practice at Covenant Family Wellness, LLC – offering online therapy to help highly sensitive people, those with attachment disorders, and those who would like pastoral counseling.

Matthew loves his family, being creative, and finds refuge in a coffee cup. He has worked as a youth pastor, teacher, counselor – and even had a short stint as a comedian … before realizing he came up short.

Matthew has a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA), a Bachelors in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministries from Trinity Bible College (Ellendale, ND), and an honorary certificate from the school of hard knocks.

In his spare moments – when not working at his practices – Matthew enjoys gardening, reading, and causing massive destruction (it’s okay – it’s in a video game).
